99 Things About Me

I saw this on another blog a couple of years ago. I am sorry I can't remember who and link to them. I thought, Hey, what a great way for y'all to get to know me better, especially after that big challenge, huh?

So here are the rules...Bold anything you have done. I got this!

1. Started your own blog: hence the post
2. Slept under the starts: used to camp all the time with the family when I was young
3. Played in a band: Does school band count, then yes!
4. Visited Hawaii
5. Watched a meteor shower: In Kansas, not a lot of trees or city lights to block the show!
6. Given more than you could afford to charity
7. Been to Disneyland
8. Climbed a mountain

10. Sang a solo: Again when I was young. I think 6th grade or middle school.
11. Bungee jumped

13. Watched a lightning storm: In KS it's just fields where I live. The light display is amazing!
14. Taught yourself an art from scratch
15. Adopted a child
16. Had food poisoning: 1st vacay with Lt to Tennessee. 1st 3 days were spent in hospital.
17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty
18. Grown your own vegetables
19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France: Paris/ Louve: yes, but Mona Lisa: no. The line was too long!
20. Slept in an overnight train: From London to Edinburgh, Scotland on a midnight train.
21. Had a pillow fight:

23. Taken a sick day when you weren't even ill: shhhh, don't tell
24. Built a snow fort
25. Held a lamb
26. Gone skinny dipping: my lips are sealed
27. Ran a marathon: Did my first 5K. Didn't run the whole time, but I'm counting it!

29. Seen a total eclipse
30. Seen a sunrise or sunset

32. Been on a cruise: My sister and I cruised the Mediterranean and toured Italy and Greece.

34. Visited the birthplace of your ancestors
35. Seen an Amish community
36. Taught yourself a new language: trying to learn Italian
37. Had enough money to be truly satisfied
38. Seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa in person: Chose to go back to Florence to shop!
39. Gone rock climbing: Not sure this is what they mean, but I am counting it. That was some climbing!

42. Seen Old Faithful geyser erupt: Trip my senior year with my parents and aunt and uncle.
43. Bought a stranger a meal at a restaurant

45. Walked on the beach in the moonlight: LT and I go to Galveston every year.
46. Been transported in an ambulance: Bad bad wreck in Georgia back in like 1991
47. Had your portrait painted
48. Gone deep sea fishing
49. Seen the Sistine Chapel in person: rules were not to talk or take pictures. You just soaked it up.
50. Been to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris: I have drove by the Eiffel Tower. Does that count?
51. Gone scuba diving or snorkeling
52. Kissed in the rain
53. Played in the mud
54. Gone to a drive-in theater: In college I used to work at the drive-in. Great memories!
55. Been in a movie: 1989, Cross of Fire. It was a made for TV movie with Lloyd Bridges and John Heard. They were filming a scene and needed extras. Viola! A star is born.

67. Bounced a check: When I was young and just starting out. Live and learn

70. Visited the Lincoln Memorial: Sister and I took the folks on a Spring Break trip to W. Virginia and into Washington DC. Best. Trip. Ever!
71. Eaten caviar: In Boston on 2nd vacay with Lt. I got Lobster Ravioli with caviar. OMG!
72. Pieced a quilt: got the stuff hoping to do it!
73. Stood in Times Square: Every December, Sister and I go to New York to get in holiday spirit. 
74. Toured the Everglades
75. Been fired from a job: When I was young and starting out. Don't judge!
76. Seen the Changing of the Guards in London
77. Broke a bone: 5 years old. Tripped on rocks and broke my collar bone. Only bone broken to date.
78. Been a passenger on a motorcycle: I LOVE riding on the back of a motorcycle. I have the boots  and do-rag waiting.
79. Seen the Grand Canyon in person
80. Published a book
81. Visited the Vatican: Wow!
82. Bought a brand new car: 2011 Sonata
83. Walked in Jerusalem
84. Had your picture in the newspaper: Usually something for work (I'm a teacher)
85. Kissed a stranger at midnight on New Years Eve: Does it have to be NYE?
86. Visited the White House: I have been by the White House from #70, just never inside.
87. Killed and prepared an animal for eating: Does fish count? We fished all the time and would have fish fries. Mom would make us help "prepare" the fish.
88. Had chicken pox
89. Saved someone's life
90. Sat on a jury: He was GUILTY! 
91. Met someone famous: Jon Reep, comedian.
92. Joined a book club
93. Got a tattoo: It is this, that is all I am saying. I just turned 30 a did a little rebelling.

94. Had a baby
95. Seen the Alamo in person
96. Swam in the Great Salt Lake
97. Been involved in a law suit
98. Owned a cell phone
99. Been stung by a bee: Called Lt at work but he said it wasn't an "emergency". It was my first bee sting...yes it was an emergency!


I have done 47 out of 99!
