In March, The Pink Growl sent out the challenge call of 30 miles in 30 days. I picked up that gauntlet with every intention of getting my 30 miles. Unfortunately, I fell 10 miles short of the goal. Heck, it was more than I thought I would do! Yes, I beat myself up for a couple of days, wallowed in self pity and then I put on my big girl panties and am dealing with it.
I will continue to wage a battle with my self image and my weight issues. You see, I have a hard time working on both eating healthy and working out. You know those people who drink and smoke and can only quit one of them at a time or else they will go crazy? Yeah, I feel like that is me right now. I can't quite get both eating healthy and working out going at the same time and when one hits the skids, the other hits it in the other direction and I fall flat on my big ol' well padded booty. A very vicious cycle begins. So my new focus for the month is exercising.
In April, I plan to work out with Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 days and do some walking outside around the neighborhood. My goal will be to exercise 4-6 times a week. I am committed to journalling, finding the gifts God has given me and projecting positive thoughts and messages.
April is like the beginning of Spring and that means it is time to clean house. Well the house I am focusing on is me. I plan to work on cleaning my mind, body and spirit. I am made in the image of God and I need to be doing a better job showing Him off and complimenting Him on his work.
Feel free to join me on my journey. It is gonna be a bumpy ride, and I guarantee there will be a lot of laughter along the way.
Any and all comments and encouragements are welcome! Don't forget to follow me on BlogLovin' over there on the right to keep up with my progress and keep me going!
So enough of the heavy stuff. Let me leave you with 2 motivations and 1 funny, because we all need to be motivated and laugh.
